Based on local district policy and Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) guidelines, and performed by the curriculum coordinator.
Job Goal
Under the direction of the Curriculum Coordinator, the Instructional Coach will provide professional growth among educators through coaching, collaborative planning, and targeted professional development. The Instructional Coach will support teachers by modeling evidence-based instructional practices, facilitating classroom observations, and providing actionable feedback to enhance teaching and learning.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution (preferred).
- Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in data collection, analysis, and interpretation to inform instructional practices.
- Experience integrating technology into the core curriculum to enhance student learning.
- Ability to collaborate with and coach adult learners, facilitating professional growth.

- Adhere to and maintain knowledge of all district policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Professional Development
- Collaborate with curriculum staff to design and deliver job-embedded professional development tailored to educators’ needs.
- Data-Driven Decision Making
- Assist curriculum staff in collecting, analyzing, and monitoring data to inform instructional practices and school-wide improvement efforts.
- Intervention and Progress Monitoring
- Partner with curriculum staff and teacher teams to identify and implement interventions using multiple data points to support student achievement.
- Instructional Modeling
- Demonstrate and model evidence-based instructional strategies to improve teaching practices.
- Collaborative Problem-Solving
- Work closely with teachers and the curriculum staff to identify and implement instructional approaches that meet the diverse needs of students.
- Curriculum and Assessment Support
- Provide assistance to curriculum coordinators on matters related to curriculum development, instructional practices, and assessment strategies.
- District-Wide Initiatives
- Support the implementation of district-wide initiatives and programs in collaboration with curriculum coordinators.
- Technology Integration
- Partner with curriculum coordinators and technology specialists to facilitate training on software tools, support teachers and administrators, and report student data at individual and aggregate levels.
