What are the responsibilities and job description for the Labor Analyst position at Conway Medical Center?
Position Summary:
The Labor Analyst (LA) will provide analytical support related to operations, profitability, benchmarking, resource utilization, identifying trends, variances and performance gaps. The LA will interact with various levels of hospital employees and is expected to build working relationships within the hospital management. This position takes a broad approach to problem solving and develops an understanding of our hospital’s needs and expectations. The LA will conduct productivity analysis, resource utilization, staffing levels and develop recommendations for labor targets and staffing allocations. The LA will assist other members of the Financial Planning & Analysis Department in providing insights to leadership for decision making, regulatory reporting, and other areas impacting the financial sustainability of Conway Medical Center.
Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, finance, mathematics, or health care administration required.
Experience
-
A minimum of there (3) years of financial analytic experience required.

Prior experience working in healthcare finance or labor management preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Works collaboratively with other analysts to assist with data validation, report development, system implementations, process documentation and other tasks associated with providing accurate data related to financial sustainability.

Assist with troubleshooting system issues to ensure the continuing operation and maintenance of the program as well as reporting and new implementation services.

Assist in coordinating upgrades, maintain databases, write reports, and maintain data dashboards used for various systems.

Helps to support the monthly closing process as well as regulatory reporting.

Work both independently and in a team environment, providing input and support to team deliverables.

Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with nursing colleagues, physicians, department heads, and executive leadership.

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Explorer, and PowerPoint required, Microsoft Access preferred.
