Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of vehicles and equipment, including diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks.
- Perform routine maintenance inspections to identify potential issues and help prevent breakdowns.
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure prompt response and timely completion of repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed, including parts used and labor time.
- Provide excellent customer service by clearly communicating repair needs and maintenance recommendations.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical or vocational training in automotive or heavy-duty equipment maintenance preferred
- Valid New York State driver’s license
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and carry tools or equipment up to 50 lbs
