Job Summary
Licensed Veterinary Technicians at EACH work with both cats and dogs in a high-volume spay/neuter environment in addition to providing wellness appointments. We work to help both rescue groups and financially qualifying individuals by providing lower cost services.. We have an in-house laboratory, x-ray, ezyVet software and a progressive, fun atmosphere. Due to the nature of this work, you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. We work Monday-Thursday and are off all major holidys. A valid license is a MUST. New graduates welcome.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile environment using aseptic techniques.
- Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence, ensuring safety for both animals and staff during examinations or treatments.
- Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostics to support accurate diagnoses.
- Maintain detailed records of patient histories, treatments, and procedures while adhering to veterinary critical care protocols.
- Support pet owners with pet care advice for basic health tips to promote ongoing wellness.
- Manage animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animal behavior to ensure optimal comfort.
- Operate diagnostic equipment including X-ray machines and assist with radiographic procedures involving animal anatomy knowledge.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
