Ministry Function

The Corporate Engagement Director - Technology Vertical works to further the ministry of Convoy of Hope by creating and implementing strategies to raise financial resources from public and private corporations, specifically in the technology industry space related fields.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify qualified corporate prospects by researching “natural fit” and vetted organizations within the specified market niche.
  • Maintains availability to mobilize with relationship managers to help in specific corporate partnership opportunities.
  • Assumes lead role with certain corporate partnership opportunities as assigned.
  • Actively engages with and manages a portfolio of corporations and major donors, including personal cultivation, solicitation, closing of gifts, and stewardship.
  • Helps recruits donors and prospects to attend Convoy of Hope’s friend-raising events, such as Vision Summit and Hope Cruises.
  • Helps recruit donors and prospects for Convoy of Hope Experience Trips.
  • Stays up to date on current fundraising programs, practices, and strategies.
  • Manages according to established Convoy of Hope policies and procedures.
  • Continuously finds processes that improve efficiency while maintaining conformance to approved policies.
  • Knows and stays within established budget, holding both self and other team members accountable to it.
  • Meets or exceeds fundraising goals and key performance indicators naturally.
  • Fulfills all other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Can demonstrate success in a development function by managing and forging relationships with multiple donor sources.
  • Demonstrates ability to work across departments, using relationship skills and influence to advance assigned initiatives and achieve results through personal efforts and working through others.
  • Demonstrates a flexible and adaptable style, and acts as a leader who positively impacts both strategic and tactical fundraising initiatives.
  • Displays ability to work independently without close oversight but is also a team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside Convoy of Hope.
  • Willing and able to travel.
  • Possesses proven experience in productive networking and relationship building.
  • Exhibits excellent communication skills – including verbal, written, and interpersonal – for maintaining contacts and building new relationships with donors and partners.
  • Possesses administrative skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in computer and software programs, including Google Workspace, Salesforce, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Displays ability to set goals, prioritize, organize tasks and workload, and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates high energy and passion for Convoy of Hope’s mission.
  • Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
  • Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
  • Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
  • As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical team members embrace the organization’s religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its statement of faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
