Position Summary: Responsible for leading the General Accounting function and Controllership activities for the group. Ensures accurate financial records, account reconciliations, and timely preparation of internal and external financial statements. Manages all budgeting, monthly and annual close process and ensures compliance with banking, audit, and regulatory requirements. Serves as a key business partner to leaders across the organization by providing financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all accounting processes for all Convivial Brands entities, including the following:
- Corporate consolidation
- Manage intercompany transactions on a weekly, monthly and annual basis with required reconciliations.
- Completes monthly / quarterly account reconciliations and schedules.
- Hands-on approach ranging from processing of AP/AR to preparing monthly journal entries to creating monthly financial statements.
- Responsible for annual CPA review, periodic bank audits and any regulatory reviews.
- Weekly cash forecasting – day-to-day leadership for all inflows & outflows to accurately project a 13-week forecast (and beyond) while minimizing line of credit.
- Ownership of cost accounting duties for all group brands (as applicable).
- Lead annual budgeting & monthly forecasting company-wide.
- Process monthly commission and quarterly royalties for all Convivial Brands entities.
- Support annual insurance renewals for group property, general liability and transit insurance policies, collaborating with HR when necessary, on worker’s compensation.
- Ensure all state tax, state sales tax, property tax and general regulatory communication, follow-up, and required payments are completed timely.
- Utilize advanced analytical skills with experience to identify when to dive deep and when to pull back to understand the big picture. Manage the weeds without getting lost in them while having the ability to walk others through them.
- Focus on improving technical linkages between core ERP (Microsoft NAV) with other group companies’ specific ERP systems and assisting in any systems enhancements.
- Drive project-based activities to standardize, document, and implement accounting policies and procedures with focus on continuous improvement across all entities.
- Be a proactive communicator within the Finance team and cross-functionally across all levels within the organization.
- Develop relationships to be a leader that ‘is in the know’.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise, mentor, lead and develop the Finance team, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
Qualifications:Education, Training, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5 years of experience in the Accountant or Controllership function.
- Leadership of General Accounting activities experience, Cost Accounting experience a plus.
- ERP Hands-on experience; Microsoft Dynamics Business Central / Navision is a plus.
- Hands-on usage of varying software platforms a plus (including data warehouses).
- Office 365 & M365 Copilot (or other AI assistant add ins)
