Medical Assistant Role at Convent Hospital
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at Convent Hospital. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, assisting in their treatment under the direction of a provider, and working collaboratively with our clinical and clerical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients and families with courtesy and respect.
- Assist administrative staff with phone call coverage and daily tasks.
- Prepare patients for appointments according to practice standards.
- Perform and document point-of-care testing results and implement appropriate interventions.
- Schedule and administer immunizations as per practice guidelines.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and adherence to the Convent Hospital Mission.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certifications: AAMA/RMA/CCMA (obtain within 6 months for new grads). BLS certification required within 30 days.
