Controlled Holdings, an ‘Indiana Best Places to Work’ (10 times... but who’s counting) and an award-winning distributor of HVAC controls, is currently seeking an energetic and entrepreneurial Recruiter to join our growing People Ops team.
The Recruiter is a hands-on entry-level role that sources and recruits top talent. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, contributing to our company culture, and driving HR functional excellence. This role reports directly to the HR Manager.
In this role, you'll perform the following tasks:
- Manage the end-to-end posting process across LinkedIn, Indeed, and our internal platform UKG to maximize applicant reach and brand visibility.
- Source high quality candidates from job postings, active recruiting, and networking.
- Partner with department leaders to audit and refine job descriptions, ensuring they accurately reflect technical requirements and team needs.
- Conduct candidate screenings in a variety of different formats (over the phone, video chat, and in person) to evaluate technical skill and cultural alignment.
- Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruitment cycle.
- Execute pre-employment administrative tasks which include (but are not limited to): the generation of offer letters, background check management, and coordinating welcome gifts for a memorable “Day 1” experience.
- Build a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
- Identify and leverage emerging recruitment tools and creative sourcing techniques to engage passive talent and stay ahead of market trends.
- Act as a brand ambassador at local career fairs and community events to build awareness and attract top-tier talent.
- Facilitate a seamless onboarding journey, ensuring all new hires are integrated efficiently and accurately.
- Champion an exceptional "white-glove" experience for every candidate and stakeholder, ensuring transparency and professionalism at every touchpoint.
- Maintain data integrity within the HRIS (UKG) and LMS (Absorb).
- Model and integrate our Core Values into every interaction, ensuring our culture is the foundation of our hiring process.

Qualifications:
- Entrepreneurial Spirit
- Highly Trainable and Coachable
- Technically inclined, ability to work within multiple different systems (UKG, LinkedIn, etc.)
- 1 year of related recruiting and/or administrative experience
