Commercial HVAC Service Tech
Controlled Environment Technologies is seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HVAC system repair, appliance repair, refrigeration, and mechanical systems maintenance. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of HVAC and related mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The HVAC Technician will also be responsible for installing equipment, reading schematics, and providing exceptional customer service. A strong knowledge of HVAC & appliance technology, equipment repair, and maintenance is essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and mechanical systems to ensure efficient operation
- Install new HVAC equipment and appliances, including kitchen equipment when necessary
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC units, appliances, and mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints for accurate repairs and installations
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to air conditioning, refrigeration, and other mechanical systems
- Operate company vehicles safely to reach job sites and transport equipment or parts as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients
- Lead small teams or assist in training new technicians on equipment repair and maintenance procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in HVAC & appliance technology
- Knowledge of schematics, mechanical systems repair, refrigeration, air conditioning, and kitchen equipment maintenance
- Ability to operate company vehicles safely and efficiently
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) of HVAC/R systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues quickly
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor
- Experience with appliance installation and repair is preferred
- Leadership qualities or previous supervisory experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
