What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Law Paralegal position at Contreras Law Firm?
Contreras Law is seeking a skilled, experienced, and motivated Family Law Paralegal to join our team. We’re looking for someone who is client-focused, detail-driven, and thrives in a fast-moving legal environment. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of hands-on family law experience, including drafting pleadings, preparing court filings, managing discovery, drafting correspondence, conducting light legal research, assisting with motions and trial prep, calendaring, and juggling multiple deadlines with confidence.
Location:
Our office is located in downtown San Diego at Emerald Plaza, directly across from the Family and Civil Courthouses. Paid onsite parking is provided for all employees.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in family law
• Knowledge of Judicial Council forms
• Familiarity with discovery deadlines, requests, and responses
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Knowledge of California state court rules and procedures
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required
This is a full-time, in-person position, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
