Qualifications

Candidates should meet at least one of the following qualifications:

  • BCSP certification
  • Four-year degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, STEM, or a related discipline
  • Recognized QA/QC certification
  • OSHA 510/500
  • 5 years of experience as a construction superintendent or project manager


Position Overview

We are seeking a Tool Install Specialist with an EHS focus to support the installation, commissioning, start-up, and decommissioning of semiconductor manufacturing equipment at a major semiconductor facility in Boise, Idaho.

This position works closely with construction, engineering, facilities, operations, quality, and EHS teams to ensure equipment is installed safely, correctly, and in accordance with client requirements before being released for production.

Equipment and systems may include:

  • Dry Etch Systems
  • Wet Etch Systems
  • Photolithography Equipment
  • Industrial Waste Systems
  • Chemical Waste Systems
  • Gas Valve Manifold Boxes (VMBs)
  • Chemical Cabinets


Key Responsibilities

  • Support semiconductor tool installation, commissioning, start-up, and decommissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct EHS walk-downs, field inspections, and equipment readiness reviews.
  • Verify Operational Acceptance Tests (OATs) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
  • Identify installation, QA/QC, safety, and commissioning deficiencies and support corrective action through resolution.
  • Coordinate with General Contractors, trade partners, vendors, and installation teams to ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Support tool start-up activities and system readiness.
  • Witness mechanical testing, inspections, and system verification activities.
  • Participate in After Action Reviews (AARs) following incidents and near misses.
  • Review commissioning documentation to ensure compliance with client quality standards.
  • Track open items and corrective actions through completion.
  • Provide clear and accurate project updates during daily coordination meetings.
  • Perform work in accordance with COHE (Control of Hazardous Energy), permit requirements, and all site-specific safety procedures.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety while working around energized systems, hazardous materials, and TGMS environments.

  • Mechanical installation
  • Equipment commissioning or decommissioning
  • Construction or General Industry EHS
  • Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC)
  • Technical equipment design
  • Industrial or advanced manufacturing construction
  • Construction Management


Preferred Experience

  • Experience in semiconductor tool installation, mechanical installation, commissioning, maintenance, start-up, EHS, or QA/QC activities.
  • Semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or industrial construction experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to identify issues in the field and help drive solutions through completion.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, schedule-driven project environment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong written documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
