Summary

Arcadis has an opening for an EHS Coordinator to join our team. In this field-based role you will assist in the development and continuous improvement of the Arcadis safety culture through direct on-site support, developing and conducting EHS training programs, and providing safety coaching and mentoring to the department.


Successful candidates will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in construction EHS-related work on a project site, ideally supporting semiconductor, life science, or related industrial high-tech projects. Other experience may be considered. Candidates must live within commutable distance to the project site. This role is located in Boise, ID.


Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical resource for construction management group on assigned project site(s).
  • Provide on-site safety support for construction management projects.
  • Review safety inspections and safety observations generated by field personnel and provide coaching to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Conduct EH&S training, including but not limited to orientations, topics relevant to ongoing work, and post-incident follow-up.
  • Conduct visits for on-site safety compliance and provide appropriate and timely feedback.
  • Participate in subcontractor kick-off meetings.
  • Participate in constructability review meetings with subcontractors.
  • Under supervision, review job hazard analysis (JHA).
  • Participate in Construction Incident Analysis Meetings.
  • Review and validate corrective action plan action items on site.
  • Daily duties include but are not limited to participating in the safety leadership team, safety coordination meetings, mass safety meetings, daily pre-task plans, daily field compliance audits.
  • Prepare and submit safety metrics, including leading indicators and lagging indicators, as needed per policy and team requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Skills and Qualifications

  • 1 years’ construction safety experience preferred.
  • STS-C certification or equivalent a plus.
  • Life Sciences and/or Semiconductor construction experience a plus.
  • General understanding of current federal, state, and local safety regulations as well as industry consensus standards.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communications skills.
  • Formal training in safety management (OSHA, formal education, or similar, or combination thereof).
  • Organized and efficient in time and task management.
  • Ability to work independently with some oversight.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exposure to Procore, Bluebeam, and other software platforms in use.
  • Local candidates required. Ability to provide valid work authorization for US employment required.


Working Conditions

  • This field-based position will work primarily on a construction site with minimal time in an office. Environmental conditions may vary and could include, but not be limited to, hot and cold temperatures, severe/inclement weather, and other factors.
  • Noise levels will be high at times depending upon work location.
  • Must wear required PPE as required by Arcadis or host employer(s).
  • Due to cleanroom protocols, successful candidates may need to wear cleanroom coveralls and follow client hygiene protocols.
  • Frequent walking, occasional lifting of objects in excess of 20lbs, frequent standing required.
