Job Summary
As a Machine Helper, you will be responsible to work safely while under the direction of the machine operator. This position requires mastering both the Shafter and Packager duties. Shafter and Packager duties are critical to operating a machine effectively while manufacturing finished product for our customers. Other duties may be required.
Job Descriptions
- Read all job requirements and follow instructions accurately
- Band skids with either metal or plastic banding
- Select the proper skid size, banding, and roll orientation as specified by the job requirements
- Label individual rolls uniformly and stretch wrap skids neatly
- Weigh skids, record skid information, neatly place address labels to finished skid
- Operate forklifts to move skids, store inventory, or move inventory from racks to machines
Need To Haves
- Willingness to work in a team/crew environment to become a true member of the team
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good attendance
- Quality oriented mindset
- Carries a good level of energy, along with interpersonal/communication skills
- Proficiency in adding and subtracting whole numbers and simple fractions
- The ability to work 8 to 10 hours a day
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Experience with Dalmec Lifting devices
- Slitting and Rewinding experience
- Paper converting experience
- Stretch wrap experience
