What does the job involve?
Utilizing CNC Equipment, Machinists will be required to set tooling, set work holding, and program on the machine control to manufacture precision products to quality specifications defined by blueprints in an efficient manner. CNC Equipment utilized includes but is not limited to: 5-Axis Milling machines, Vertical Milling Machines, Horizontal Milling Machines, Lathes, Waterjet Machines, and Horizontal Saws.
What will my responsibilities include?
• Read and apply shop orders, drawings, and instructions to produce parts on CNC equipment.
• Utilize measuring tools to ensure conformance to specifications and maintain appropriate record keeping and electronic documentation.
• Perform basic equipment upkeep while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Operate as a team and participate in department improvement activities.

What qualifications and experiences should I have?
• CNC equipment operation with 2 years of setup and programming knowledge and ability. Must be able read and interpret product drawings, choose the correct tooling and work holding, and verify conformance with proper inspection equipment.
• CNC programming on Mazak machines and advanced comprehension of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred but not required.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT AND REQUIREMENTS: Duties are performed in a manufacturing plant environment. Liftiing to 50 lbs. Hearing protection and eye protection is required and provided on the manufacturing floor. Safety-toe footwear must comply with ANSI Standard ANSI Z41-1991 (see policy), no loose clothing, hair, or accessories. Observe all safety regulations of the department and the plant.
