What are the responsibilities and job description for the TAK01- Contract Cable Technician- Shreveport, LA Area position at Contract Cable Installer?
We are a contract partner for Comcast in the Shreveport, LA area.
You do not need experience to be considered but it is preferred, we do 3-4 weeks of on the job training.
Shifts/Schedule will be discussed during the interview.
Must have own personal vehicle in good running condition to be considered.
Summary Installs, terminates, tests, and troubleshoots communications cable systems by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.
- MUST HAVE OWN VEHICLE TO WORK OUT OF AND TO CARRY 28ft LADDER
- Coax Work
- Pulls cables, such as coaxial and other cable types, through conduit, above ceilings, through crawl spaces, and between floors.
- Installs modular connectors for data and telephone users.
- Uses cable testing equipment to troubleshoot problems.
- Provides new users and existing users with cable and modular connections, and relocates cable connections for existing users.
- Installs user-end equipment, such as set top boxes, cable modems, routers, and telephony equipment
Eligibility Requirements
- Clean background check, with no felonies in the last 10 years and no misdemeanor within 3 years. No open warrants.
- Clean driving record
- Truck, van, or SUV in good working condition to work out of.
- Valid vehicle insurance and driver’s license.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug tests while employed.

Pay: $800.00 - $1,200.00 per week
