Position Summary

Reporting directly to the company owner, this position is critical to the financial operations and cash management of the company. Day-to-day responsibilities include: payables; managing subcontractor payments, loan draws, insurance & lien releases; project budget reporting; financial statement reporting; etc. 


Some basic office manager type responsibilities will also be required.


What You’ll Do

This is a highly cross-functional role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and desires exposure to all aspects of residential development operations.


General Responsibilities and Objectives

  • Organize and monitor payables and ensure timely payment,
  • Monitor and report on cash position,
  • Work with teams to monitor project budgets and report on variances,
  • Preparation and submittal of bank draws for both company owned projects and joint-venture projects,
  • Monitor project expenses and ensure timely receipt of reimbursable amounts,
  • Assistance with corporate and project insurance requirements,
  • Payroll and quarterly reporting as required,
  • Fully utilize QuickBooks for all accounting, and to manage customer and vendor information,
  • Coordinate and assist with general office management duties, including maintenance, utilities, and supplies,
  • Identify and implement potential savings and efficiencies; and 
  • Work with the team to provide support to their efforts and drive overall corporate value.


dministrative & Team Support

  • Manage project files and correspondence,
  • Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and internal team members,
  • Manage and assist with scheduling, meeting preparation, and other day-to-day operational tasks,
  • Provide general support to help keep multiple projects organized and progressing efficiently; and 
  • Manage and assist with the miscellaneous operational and administrative tasks that support the day-to-day office and project functions.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience with construction and/or home building accounting processes,
  • Advanced level of ability with QuickBooks,
  • Advanced knowledge of general ledgers, financial statement preparation, and debits/credits (Accounting degree highly preferred),
  • Highly organized and detail oriented,
  • Aptitude for accuracy and timeliness; and
  • Ability to take direction and at times, work independently.
