What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior AI Architect position at Continuum Solutions?
Senior AI Architect (Agentic Systems / Enterprise AI)
Location: Houston, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Company
We’re an enterprise AI product company focused on making AI adoption practical and low-friction. We build agentic AI solutions that integrate with legacy systems so organizations can accelerate decision-making, uncover efficiencies, and create new revenue opportunities without disrupting existing operations. Our approach is designed to augment human expertise with reliable, production-grade AI.
The Role
We’re seeking a Senior AI Architect to help design, build, and scale complex AI systems that integrate into diverse enterprise environments—from legacy databases to real-time operational systems. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of modern AI capabilities and real-world enterprise deployment.
You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and delivery stakeholders and work directly with enterprise customers to architect solutions that produce measurable business outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Architecture & Design
- Design and implement scalable agentic AI architectures deployable across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments
- Architect multi-model/consensus approaches to improve reliability and reduce hallucinations
- Develop frameworks for digital twins and AI “teams” that augment existing staff capabilities
- Build robust data integration pipelines across fragmented enterprise systems and legacy software
Technical Leadership
- Lead technical design sessions to translate business problems into buildable AI solutions
- Establish best practices for AI system design, testing, evaluation, and deployment
- Mentor engineers and contribute to a strong AI engineering culture
- Collaborate with partners and internal stakeholders to accelerate delivery and platform evolution
Platform Development
- Enhance platform memory systems (e.g., temporary, short-term, long-term, and feedback memory)
- Build and refine enterprise guardrails and governance controls aligned to security requirements
- Develop real-time data processing capabilities for operational intelligence use cases
- Optimize system performance to deliver proof-of-concepts in weeks (not months)
Client Engagement
- Partner with enterprise clients to understand technical environments, constraints, and integration needs
- Lead technical discovery and POC development for new engagements
- Architect solutions that scale from single use cases to broader enterprise adoption
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience
- Software Architecture experience with 3 years focused on AI/ML systems
- Deep expertise in large language models (LLMs), including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and orchestration frameworks
- Proven track record deploying production AI systems at enterprise scale
- Strong experience integrating heterogeneous systems (SQL/NoSQL, APIs, and files such as CSV, JSON, XML, HL7)
- Proficiency in Python and modern AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, or similar)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Preferred Experience
- Experience building agentic AI systems or multi-agent architectures
- Exposure to energy, industrial, and/or financial services environments
- Familiarity with real-time/streaming architectures
- Experience with on-premise deployments and air-gapped environments
- Knowledge of enterprise security frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA)
Core Competencies
- Able to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving with a bias toward rapid iteration and delivery
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
- Excellent communication in client-facing settings
- Entrepreneurial mindset and strong ownership orientation
