Financial Reporting Contractor
*Please note this is a short-term contract for the months of January & February 2026*
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
External Reporting: Participate in the timely and accurate delivery of quarterly and annual accounting reports and financial statements:
- Assist with preparing the Company’s 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K filings with the SEC, and ensure they conform to applicable company policies and SEC rules and regulations.
- Prepare consolidated and Joint Venture financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, etc.) and related footnotes to the financial statements.
- Coordinate with other departments to obtain supporting information for 10-Q and 10-K disclosures.
- Input data into the company’s financial reporting application.
- Perform monthly variance analysis and reconciliation of financial statement data.
- Coordinate and review XBRL tagging.
- Review other internal and external documents and presentations for accuracy and consistency.
- Prepare stock-based compensation entries, and coordinate with internal and external groups on share activities.
- Actively participate in any ad hoc projects that may arise.
- Facilitate review / audit procedures of external auditors and coordinate documentation requests.
Accounting Research / Implementation: Research FASB and SEC reporting requirements, rules and regulations, and stay current on all accounting and reporting issues, trends, and policies that impact the external reporting and accounting processes, including:
- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of accounting and reporting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP, SEC rules and regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Assist in peer research and benchmarking.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Certified Public Accountant or equivalent, or working towards a certification.
- Accounting and/or reporting experience with knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and writing skills.
- Knowledge and experience with accounting and peer research.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills within all levels of the organization.
- Systems aptitude and process orientation.
- Ability to work overtime, when necessary, for periodic filing or corporate transactions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Big 4 public accounting experience serving SEC registrants.
- Experience with XBRL tagging.
- Experience with Active Disclosure, Intelligize, Oracle and OneStream applications.
- Ability to work in a deadline driven, fast-paced team environment, with limited supervision.
Salary : $72 - $94
