What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Operator position at Contingent Crew, LLC?
Schedule: Second shift hours and weekend hours, 1030am-700pm; working Saturday - Wednesday.
Summary / Primary Role:
The position of Warehouse Operator I will have primary responsibility to safely manage warehouse inventory through the
receiving and shipping processes and movement of product with use of forklifts, overhead cranes and other equipment as
applicable.
Essential Functions:
- Have responsibility for material handling
- Receive product via railcar and truckload, including scanning and placing product in the warehouse
- Pick orders, including staging and scanning.
- Load material in outbound trailers which includes trailer inspections.
- Maintain 100% inventory integrity
- o Accurately record and submit product locationso Record and submit location changeso Maintain accurate records of product movement using handheld scanners or warehouse management systems.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including cleaning and maintaining forklift equipment.
- Accurately follow warehouse SOPs and procedures.
- Scan products into and out of Abecas system when required using barcoding system.
- Forward all paperwork to office for processing in a timely manner.
- Perform daily building checklist, as assigned.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines, including proper PPE usage and safe driving practices.
- Operate remote-controlled cranes, forklifts and other equipment as applicable, to safely move product.
- Operate track mobile to maneuver rail cars in and out of the building.
- Maintain personal accountability for productivity, efficiency, quality of work, and adherence to safety standards.
- Communicate any incidents, accidents, damages, claims to management immediately.
- Ensure equipment is not overloaded.
- Follow company guidelines and procedures for proper warning signals when operating equipment.
- Perform regular and routine inspection of equipment and monitor fluid levels to ensure optimum performance of
equipment and safety.Ensure inventory and material is stored safely and blocked properly.management.Company policy.
- Participate in meetings, and on committees as instructed or needed.
- Participate in cross training, development programs and obtain any certifications as need or requested by
- Ensure proper personal protective equipment is in good repair and worn in accordance with OSHA regulations and
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED.
- Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role and environment is required.
- Previous experience working in transportation or warehousing industry is preferred.
- Experience with forklifts, over-head cranes, track mobile, and hand-held RFID scanners is preferred.

Pay: $18.50 - $19.00 per hour
