ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
Are you a seasoned MEP Estimator with a passion for tackling complex, high-value
projects? We looking for someone like you to join our preconstruction team as a MEP
Estimator. In this role, you'll take the lead on estimating mechanical, electrical, and
plumbing systems for large-scale commercial and institutional projects valued at over
$150 million. If you bring deep technical expertise, sharp analytical thinking, and a
strong track record of delivering accurate, competitive estimates on major builds, we’d

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
Lead the MEP estimating efforts from conceptual design through final bid for
large-scale projects.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare
comprehensive MEP cost estimates.
Collaborate with general estimators, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure
accurate scope and pricing.
Develop and maintain unit cost databases and historical cost data for MEP
systems.
Conduct value engineering and cost-saving analysis without compromising
design intent or performance.
Participate in design-assist and design-build project delivery methods.
Evaluate and level subcontractor bids and proposals for MEP scopes.
Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as needed.
Provide constructability reviews and identify potential risks and opportunities in
MEP systems.
Stay current with industry trends, codes, and technologies in mechanical,
electrical, and plumbing systems.
YOU’RE READY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in MEP estimating, with at least 5 years on
projects over $150 million.
Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, plumbing,
and building automation systems.
Proficiency in estimating software such as Trimble, WinEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift,
or similar.
Familiarity with BIM and 3D modeling tools for quantity takeoffs and coordination.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with mission-critical facilities, healthcare, life sciences, or high-rise
commercial projects.
Professional certifications such as LEED AP, ASPE (American Society of
Professional Estimators), or PMP.
Knowledge of local and national building codes and MEP regulations.
