Seeking a highly recognized data management leader to join our rapidly growing Data & Digital Services (DDS) practice as a Direct Admit Consulting Partner. In this leadership role, you will help organizations establish the data foundations required to support advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and enterprise digital transformation.
The ideal candidate is an industry authority in data strategy, data governance, master data management (MDM), and data quality with a demonstrated track record of enabling AI readiness through trusted, governed enterprise data. This individual may come from a background as a former Chief Data Officer, a recognized industry author or framework developer, or a senior leader from a major data management platform provider.
In addition to deep technical and industry credibility, the successful candidate will possess the leadership and business development capabilities required to build and scale a consulting practice, grow client relationships, and position as a market leader in enterprise data governance and AI-ready data environments.
This role carries responsibility for driving revenue growth, managing practice performance, and contributing to the overall profitability of the Data & Digital Services practice.
In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with our award-winning consulting practices as well as several of our Strategic Business Alliance relationships including Microsoft, AWS and tool specific partnerships like Informatica.
Role Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior advisor to executive client stakeholders including Chief Data Officers, CIOs, Chief Analytics Officers, and Chief AI Officers on enterprise data strategy and AI readiness
- Lead and grow market presence in enterprise data governance, master data management, data quality, and enterprise data strategy
- Own and grow a portfolio of client relationships and engagements with accountability for revenue generation, pipeline development, and practice profitability
- Establish and manage a multi-million-dollar consulting portfolio, driving sustained revenue growth and margin performance within the DDS practice
- Find, sell, lead, and manage complex transformation engagements focused on building trusted, governed, and scalable data ecosystems across a wide range of industries
- Guide organizations in designing enterprise data governance frameworks including stewardship models, data policy management, metadata governance, and regulatory compliance
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise master data management programs that create trusted data domains across business systems
- Establish enterprise data quality strategies and operating models that ensure reliable, trusted data for analytics, machine learning, and AI initiatives
- Advise organizations on building AI-ready data environments including modern cloud data architectures, governed data pipelines, data catalogs, and metadata management capabilities
- Take a “Total Consulting” approach to complex transformation engagements by collaborating across service lines to maximize client outcomes
- Utilize strong business development capabilities to originate, qualify, and close consulting opportunities through industry relationships, strategic alliances, and personal networks
- Represent externally as an industry thought leader through conference speaking, publications, advisory roles, and participation in leading data management organizations
- Contribute to the development of intellectual capital, frameworks, and market offerings related to data governance, AI readiness, and enterprise data platforms
- Lead and mentor consulting teams, establishing vision, driving delivery excellence, and developing the next generation of data consulting professionals
- Recruit and build high-performing teams to support the growth of the practice and delivery of complex enterprise data transformation engagements
Qualifications and Experience
- Recognized industry authority in enterprise data strategy, data governance, master data management, and data quality
- Experience as a Chief Data Officer, senior data leader, or recognized thought leader in the data management community preferred
- Demonstrated authorship or leadership in developing widely adopted data governance frameworks, methodologies, or enterprise data platforms is highly valued
- Proven experience building, scaling, and managing a consulting practice with accountability for revenue growth and financial performance
- Demonstrated success generating significant consulting revenue and maintaining a robust pipeline of new business opportunities
- Big Four, global systems integrator, enterprise technology company, or similar consulting background preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred in data management, information systems, analytics, computer science, or a related field
- Approximately 15 years of experience leading enterprise data transformation initiatives
- Demonstrated expertise in enterprise data governance frameworks, metadata management, stewardship models, and regulatory data requirements
- Strong understanding of modern data platforms and architectures including cloud data ecosystems and data platforms supporting AI and advanced analytics
- Strong relationships with executive stakeholders including Chief Data Officers, CIOs, and analytics leadership teams
- Experience collaborating with strategic technology alliances such as Microsoft, AWS, and leading data platform providers
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, and develop consulting professionals while scaling a high-performing practice
- Must possess a high degree of integrity and confidentiality
- Experience in at least one of the following industries preferred: energy, technology, industrials, financial services, or healthcare
- Must be willing and able to travel when necessary
Pay: $700,000.00 - $800,000.00 per year
