GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Physician Access Coordinator serves as a strategic liaison between Community Physicians, patients, families, and internal departments. This role is critical in optimizing patient access, enhancing physician engagement, and improving operational efficiency across the health system. The coordinator will lead initiatives that support seamless navigation, service excellence, and data-informed decision-making. This position requires a high degree of autonomy, adaptability, and cross-functional collaboration, with matrixed accountability across clinical and administrative teams.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School diploma required.
- Post high school education or training preferred.
- Five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience in healthcare operations, patient access, or physician relations required.
- Proven ability to lead initiatives, manage complex workflows, and collaborate across departments.
- Advanced proficiency in medical electronic systems (Epic preferred) and data documentation.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service, communication, and cultural sensitivity.
