Staff Landman position requiring minimal supervision, a strong proactive approach and utmost degree of independence, professionalism and dependability with advanced supervisory, leadership, negotiating, communication, organizational and attention to detail skills and a comprehensive understanding of land, legal, and oil & gas industry principles, processes and procedures.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for conducting all land work to include obtaining and evaluating land data (i.e., records, titles, abstracts, etc.) on availability of land and/or leases for acquisition, development, and/or divestiture.
- Secures the examinations of titles, resolves defects, and settles damage claims.
- May be responsible for making recommendations on dry hole contributions, farm-ins, farm-outs, and other exploration activities, as well as maintaining producing leases and co-owner relationships.
- Represents the company at land/lease sales and tenders bids.
- Negotiates purchase of fee lands and rights-of-way.
- Involved in evaluation/preparation of divestitures and acquisition packages.
- Devises solutions based on limited information and may need to use conceptual thinking.
- May have responsibility for whole projects or complex assignments involving problem diagnosis and/or development of innovative solutions.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Land Management, Energy Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience as a Landman.
- An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
