Continental Engineering and Manufacturing is seeking a Shop Maintenance Technician to join our team in Chaska, MN. This position is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on CNC and manual equipment, as well as general building and facility maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on CNC and manual machines (mills, lathes, etc.)
- Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues
- Maintain and repair equipment such as forklifts, paint booths, and support machines
- Schedule and coordinate with outside repair technicians as needed
- Maintain building systems and perform general facilities maintenance
- Keep detailed records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs
- Order parts, supplies, and materials as needed through the purchasing department
- Work with vendors and contractors on equipment or facility upgrades
- Participate in safety improvements and follow safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years of experience maintaining and repairing CNC and manual machinery
- Familiarity with mills, lathes, and related equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Comfortable using diagnostic tools and hand tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or technical certification in a related field
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
- Experience coordinating with vendors or contractors
