Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Supervisor will lead CEM’s quality program, reporting directly to senior management and overseeing the Quality Assurance team. This role requires high-level proficiency with PC-DMIS to program, operate, and generate reports from CMM inspections. The QA Supervisor will ensure clear communication of quality results with both internal teams and external customers, take ownership of ISO 9001:2015 compliance, and drive initiatives that ensure continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Supervise, mentor, and develop the Quality Assurance team, including QA Technicians.
· Program, operate, and validate CMM inspections using PC-DMIS; generate detailed reports to communicate results.
· Serve as the primary quality contact for both internal and external customers, ensuring timely and professional communication.
· Review and approve inspection plans, reports, and quality documentation.
· Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 quality management system requirements
· Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and management reviews.
· Partner with engineering and production teams to plan and implement quality strategies for new and existing projects.
· Oversee calibration, gage management, and use of precision measuring equipment.
· Support root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives to reduce defects and improve processes.
· Prepare and present quality metrics, trends, and improvement plans to management and customers.
· Lead company-wide initiatives to strengthen quality culture and support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
· 5 years of quality assurance experience in precision manufacturing or CNC machining environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
· Advanced proficiency in PC-DMIS programming and reporting (required).
· Strong knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret complex part prints.
· Experience with CMMs and other precision inspection tools.
· Familiarity with quality systems software (e.g., Gage InSite).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and reporting tools.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly interact with customers, engineers, and production teams.
· Strong leadership skills with proven ability to coach, mentor, and hold others accountable.
· Detail-oriented, highly organized, and dependable.
