Will act as a direct-supporting link between manufacturing operators, production support and engineering.

The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.
Base salary is one component of your total rewards package. The Manufacturing Engineer Technician will be responsible for supporting manufacturing readiness and capabilities, implementing and maintaining production line equipment, and reviewing and improving production planning setup. Responsibilities
- Supports the development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, techniques, processes, and tooling on fabricated parts, cast, and machined components, subassemblies, and final products
- Implement, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes to ensure cost effective and safe assembly, testing, quality and inspection of products
- Development and improvement of manufacturing processes for new designs, including production equipment, assembly methods, and production flow
- Refine and enhance processes by applying continuous improvement and key Lean manufacturing principles and techniques to areas of production
- Review defect trends and processing times, identify opportunities for reducing costs by implementing or modifying fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, product design, materials and parts
- Interpret engineering requirements and set up production tools to meet requirements.
- Assist in manufacturing documentation (FMEA, control plan, process flow, work instructions, and inspection plans)
- Resolve problems and provide guidance to the production teams through the application of technical knowledge, data analytics, research, and acquired expertise. Works with engineering directly on engineering changes, as assigned
- Participate in design reviews, manufacturing process reviews, supplier quality reviews and audits, first article inspection, failure analysis and other tasks, as assigned

- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business
- 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (defense industry highly preferred)
- 10 years of experience directly utilizing, maintaining, and supporting manufacturing equipment
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance or already have a clearance
- Able to travel at least 5% of the time
- Knowledge of CNC machines, cutters / fixturing, and CNC programming
- Experience in Supporting Mechanical Assembly, Machining, Welding and/or Castings
- Ability to interpret drawings, product/performance specifications, and other systems integration technical data
- Proficient in the use of 3D CAD software (Inventor, Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment, hand tools, power tools
- Knowledgeable with Assembly Manufacturing processes
- Experience with Improving Manufacturing Processes
- Associate's degree in a technical field
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
- Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
- Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action Investigations
- Experience identifying and capturing tribal knowledge into work instructions
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Associate's degree in engineering, engineering technology, applied science or related technical discipline
