TITLE: STAFF GUARD (HOURLY)

DEPARTMENT: 24-Hour Security

REPORTS TO: Staff Guard Supervisor

SUPERVISES: N/A

POSTION PURPOSE/SUMMARY

This person is responsible for security throughout the Lucas Oil Stadium, and surrounding properties.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Promotes positive public relations
• Patrols client property to ensure safety and security
• Operates radio to communicate with Dispatch
• Patrols property on foot
• Performs other related duties as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in a customer service center subject to exposure to blood borne pathogens, viruses, cleaners, chemicals, abusive citizens, and homeless persons. This employee does not carry a weapon.

• Knowledge of security and safety procedures
• Ability to communicate with the public in a positive and effective manner
• Ability to use a two-way radio
• Ability to write reports in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs without problem
• Ability to work shifts on holidays and weekends
• Ability to work days (0800-1600), swings (1600-2400) or midnight (2400-0800) shifts as required
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Have good hearing and vision
• Understand and follow directions
• Work outside in extreme weather conditions
• Be responsible and dependable
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other agencies, facility departments and the general public

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• High school diploma or General Education Development (GED)
• First Aid, CPR, & AED Certification
• Security Work Experience (preferred)
• Computer skills i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word (preferred)
