Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager oversees the daily operations of the HR department and supports the organization’s strategic goals by ensuring consistent application of HR policies and programs. This role manages functions including talent acquisition, benefits administration, compliance, onboarding, employee relations, employee engagement, Internship program management, payroll review, and leave of absence. The HR Manager serves as a trusted resource for both employees and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Core HR Leadership
Lead and manage the HR team in supporting the organization’s HR initiatives and day-to-day operations.
Develop, recommend, and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with legal standards and company culture.
Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and management regarding HR programs, processes, and policies.
Support and coach managers in performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee relations.
Partner with leadership to ensure HR strategies align with business goals.
Ensures full organizational compliance with all employment laws and internal policies by overseeing processes such as E-Verify, maintenance certifications, and other required employee credentials and regulatory certifications.
Recruiting & Onboarding
Oversee the full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition process for all departments.
Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth integration for all new employees.
Manage job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and offer processes.
Compliance & Recordkeeping
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate documentation for audits and internal tracking, including E-Verify and I-9 compliance.
Manage FMLA and other leave programs, including tracking, documentation, and communication.
Oversee Workers’ Compensation claims reporting and case management.
Ensure timely and accurate ACA compliance and reporting.
Perform yearly 401K audit
Maintain OFAC requirements
Responsible for maintaining OSHA injury and illness records, including completing, reviewing, and posting OSHA Forms 300, 300A, and 301 in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Compensation & Benefits
Manage company-wide benefits administration, including open enrollment, eligibility, changes, and employee inquiries.
Serve as liaison for the 401(k) program and Workers Comp
Lead payroll review processes in collaboration with payroll/finance departments to ensure accuracy.
Support salary benchmarking and internal compensation equity efforts.
HR Operations & Administration
Oversee and maintain employee data integrity in the HRIS system.
Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, and personnel records.
Manage distribution and tracking of uniforms for applicable roles.
Track HR metrics and provide regular reporting to leadership.
Continuously evaluate HR processes for efficiency and compliance.
Manages employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee terminations, in compliance with company policy and applicable laws.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of employment laws, benefits, and HR compliance (ACA, FMLA, I-9, etc.).
Proficiency in HRIS systems (preferably Paycor) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
