Role: Respiratory Therapist responsible for providing respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities
This role involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and possibly communicable diseases, requiring adherence to safety protocols. The position is on-site with physical demands including heavy lifting and movement of objects, with accommodations available for disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform therapeutic procedures, monitor and wean oxygen therapy and ventilation support.
- Draw, analyze, and report arterial blood gases and EKGs.
- Assist with airway management and deliver patient-specific treatments as ordered.
- Document clinical information, educate patients and staff, and ensure compliance with policies.
- Associate’s Degree required.
- Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist and certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for NICU; ACLS within 90 days of hire.
- Proficiency with computer systems and data entry.
- Effective communication, strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
