Junior Sales Representative

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sales Representative is responsible for developing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with prospective and existing law firms, and helping drive revenue growth through consistent outreach and professional relationship management. This role independently manages assigned leads and accounts while maintaining an organized sales pipeline and ensuring timely follow-up throughout the sales process.
The Sales Representative serves as a knowledgeable resource for prospective clients by educating them on Retrēv's services, understanding their needs, and presenting solutions that align with their business objectives. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, self-motivation, organization, and the ability to build trust with attorneys, legal staff, and other decision-makers.
The Sales Representative works closely with the Sales Manager and internal operational teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation while representing the Retrēv brand with professionalism and integrity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, referrals, networking, and lead generation activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with attorneys, law firms, legal administrators, and referral partners.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand firm needs and recommend appropriate Retrēv services.
- Present company capabilities, pricing, workflows, and value propositions to prospective clients.
- Prepare proposals, pricing information, and follow-up communications.
- Consistently meet outreach, activity, and revenue goals established by the Sales Manager.
- Maintain regular communication with prospects throughout the sales cycle.
- Close new business opportunities and assist with client onboarding.
Pipeline & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate and organized CRM records, including prospect information, meeting notes, follow-up activities, and opportunity stages.
- Manage assigned sales opportunities from initial contact through signed agreement.
- Ensure all follow-up activities are completed promptly and professionally.
- Track sales performance metrics and maintain accurate forecasting information.
- Monitor pipeline health and proactively identify stalled opportunities.
- Prepare activity reports and pipeline updates for leadership.
Firm Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with prospective and existing firms.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact throughout the sales process.
- Respond promptly to questions regarding services, pricing, and implementation.
- Maintain regular touchpoints with existing relationships to identify additional opportunities.
- Represent Retrēv professionally during meetings, conferences, networking events, and client visits.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience from first contact through onboarding.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Coordinate with Operations to ensure client expectations align with service capabilities.
- Communicate client requirements, expectations, and implementation needs to internal departments.
- Assist in ensuring smooth onboarding of new clients.
- Escalate operational concerns or client issues when appropriate.
- Collaborate with leadership to improve sales processes and client experience.
Professional Development
- Continuously develop knowledge of Retrēv's services, industry trends, and legal market.
- Participate in sales meetings, coaching sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Stay current on competitive offerings and market conditions.
- Seek opportunities to improve sales techniques, negotiation skills, and client communication.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 2–5 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, legal support, or a client-facing role.
- Proven ability to build relationships and manage a sales pipeline.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Comfortable conducting outbound calls, virtual meetings, and in-person presentations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
Preferred
- Experience selling services to law firms, healthcare organizations, or professional service businesses.
- Experience with CRM software and sales reporting.
- Background in legal support, records retrieval, healthcare services, or BPO operations.
