ABOUT THE ROLE

The Junior Sales Representative supports company growth by assisting with outreach, lead generation, follow-up, pipeline organization, and relationship-building efforts across prospective and existing firm relationships. This role is responsible for helping maintain consistent communication with prospects, tracking sales activity, supporting meeting preparation, and ensuring follow-up tasks are completed accurately and on time.


This position is ideal for someone who is motivated, professional, coachable, and interested in growing within sales, business development, and firm relationship management. The Junior Sales Representative works closely with the Sales Manager to learn the company’s services, understand firm needs, support outreach strategy, and help move opportunities through the sales process.


The Junior Sales Representative represents the Retrēv brand professionally in all communications and plays an important role in creating a positive first impression with prospective firms.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


SALES SUPPORT & LEAD GENERATION

• Assist with identifying prospective firms, referral sources, and new business opportunities.

• Support outbound outreach efforts through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other approved communication channels.

• Conduct initial follow-up with prospects to help generate interest and schedule next steps.

• Research firms, attorneys, and market opportunities to support targeted outreach efforts.

• Help maintain consistent communication with prospects and existing contacts.

• Support the Sales Manager in progressing leads through the pipeline.

• Learn how to communicate Retrēv’s services, value, and process clearly and professionally.


PIPELINE & CRM MANAGEMENT

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach activity, contact information, follow-up tasks, and meeting notes.

• Enter new leads, update opportunity stages, and track activity within the CRM or lead tracking system.

• Monitor assigned follow-up tasks to ensure prospects are contacted in a timely and organized manner.

• Assist with preparing pipeline updates, activity reports, and sales tracking information.

• Help ensure no leads or opportunities fall through the cracks.

• Support consistent use of sales workflows, outreach sequences, and reporting processes.


FIRM COMMUNICATION & RELATIONSHIP SUPPORT

• Serve as a professional point of contact for initial outreach and basic follow-up communication.

• Help coordinate introductory calls, meetings, lunches, and other sales-related touchpoints.

• Communicate with prospective firms in a clear, respectful, and service-focused manner.

• Support the Sales Manager with meeting preparation, prospect research, and post-meeting follow-up.

• Assist in educating prospects on Retrēv’s services, process, and next steps when appropriate.

• Build trust through responsiveness, professionalism, and consistent communication.


CROSS-DEPARTMENT COORDINATION

• Communicate relevant prospect details, requests, and questions to the Sales Manager or appropriate internal team members.

• Help ensure sales notes, firm requirements, and follow-up items are clearly documented.

• Work with internal departments as needed to understand service capabilities, timelines, and client expectations.

• Support smooth handoffs from sales conversations to onboarding or operational teams.

• Ask questions and escalate issues when prospect needs require clarification or leadership input.


PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT & SALES TRAINING

• Participate in sales training, coaching sessions, team meetings, and role-play exercises.

• Develop a strong understanding of Retrēv’s services, target markets, sales process, and brand positioning.

• Learn how to identify firm needs, qualify opportunities, and communicate value effectively.

• Receive and apply feedback to improve outreach, communication, follow-up, and sales confidence.

• Build foundational sales skills with the goal of growing into a more independent sales or business development role.

• Maintain a positive, proactive, and accountable approach to daily sales activity.


QUALIFICATIONS


REQUIRED

• 0-2 years of experience in sales, customer service, client support, administrative support, legal support, or another communication-focused role.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Comfortable making phone calls, sending emails, and communicating with new contacts.

• Strong organization, follow-up, and time management skills.

• Professional, positive, and coachable attitude.

• Ability to manage tasks, notes, and follow-ups accurately in a fast-paced environment.

• Willingness to learn sales processes, firm relationship management, and business development strategy.

• Ability to represent the company professionally in calls, emails, meetings, and other interactions.

• Strong attention to detail and accountability.


PREFERRED

• Experience in legal support, records retrieval, healthcare support, BPO services, customer service, or inside sales.

• Experience using a CRM, lead tracker, spreadsheet, or task management system.

• Prior experience with outbound calls, appointment setting, lead follow-up, or client communication.

• Interest in growing into a long-term sales, business development, or firm relationship role.

• Natural ability to build rapport and communicate comfortably with others.


WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE


In the first 90 days, a successful Junior Sales Representative will have:

• Developed a strong understanding of Retrēv’s services, target firms, and sales process.

• Maintained accurate CRM records, lead notes, follow-up tasks, and activity tracking.

• Supported consistent outreach and follow-up efforts with prospective firms.

• Helped schedule meetings, calls, or next steps for qualified prospects.

• Demonstrated professionalism and confidence in written and verbal communication.

• Built strong working relationships with the Sales Manager and internal team members.

• Shown coachability, accountability, and steady improvement in sales activity and communication.

• Contributed to a more organized and consistent sales pipeline.
