Workday Payroll Specialist (US Payroll)

Overview:
We are seeking a Workday Payroll Specialist to support a recently deployed Workday US Payroll environment. This role will focus on processing payroll, stabilizing ongoing operations, and enabling internal team members who are ramping up their payroll capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process end-to-end Workday US Payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
• Support day-to-day payroll operations in a post-go-live environment
• Troubleshoot payroll issues, validate results, and resolve discrepancies
• Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and support compliance requirements
• Provide hands-on guidance and training to internal team members learning payroll operations
• Partner with HR, Finance, and internal stakeholders to address payroll-related inquiries
• Support continuous improvement of payroll processes and documentation

Required Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with Workday Payroll, specifically US Payroll
• Proven experience processing payroll within Workday
• Experience supporting post-go-live payroll operations
• Ability to train, mentor, and support team members with varying levels of payroll experience
• Solid understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and best practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Workday Time Tracking and Absence modules
• Prior experience working in lean teams or supporting organizations building internal capability
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts clearly
