Job Description:
We are seeking a strategic yet hands-on Vice President of Information Technology to provide executive-level leadership across a complex, multi-site technology environment supporting a digital-first financial institution. This is not a purely administrative role — the right candidate will bring genuine technical depth across network infrastructure, cloud platforms, and core banking systems, and will be willing and able to roll up their sleeves when the situation calls for it. At the same time, they will serve as the senior technology voice in the organization: setting direction, managing risk, overseeing vendor relationships, and building the capabilities of the team around them.

The environment spans 12 remote branches, an operations center, and two data centers, with a technology stack that includes Cisco SD-WAN, Palo Alto next-generation firewalls, AWS-hosted data infrastructure, a VMware-virtualized server estate, and a Client core banking platform. Significant infrastructure projects are already underway — including a mid-stream Palo Alto network segmentation initiative and active skill gaps in SD-WAN and AWS — making this a role where immediate impact is both expected and possible.

• 12 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role (Director, VP, or equivalent)
• Demonstrated experience supporting or leading IT in a federally regulated financial institution — credit union, community bank, or equivalent
• Proven track record managing complex, multi-site network and infrastructure environments
• Hands-on background in at least two of the following: network engineering, cloud infrastructure, virtualization, or core banking systems — with credibility to lead technical conversations in each area
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
• One or more relevant certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CCNP Enterprise, AWS Solutions Architect, PCNSE (Palo Alto), VMware VCP, or ITIL

• 19 Cisco cEdge & vEdge SD-WAN routers across branch and data center sites (active skill gap — highest priority)
• Cisco Catalyst 9300 switching fleet
• 46 Meraki managed switches and 29 Meraki access points across branch locations
• Palo Alto Panorama, (2) PA-3220 and (2) PA-820 firewalls — network segmentation project actively in progress

• AWS VPC and associated services — active skill gap in cloud management and architecture
• Snowflake data warehouse accessed via AWS Private Link, SQL-driven

• VMware vSphere across two data center deployments; 29 total ESXi hosts (16 in data centers, 13 at branch locations)
• ~250 active virtual machines and 200 replicas
• Veeam Backup & Replication for VM protection and recovery

• Client core banking platform — primary system of record for all member financial operations
• Extensive Cisco Collaboration environment (25 VMs and appliances)
