Senior Technical Product Manager II

Role Summary
The Senior Technical Product Manager is responsible for driving the technical strategy and execution of proprietary digital platforms. This role blends a strong software engineering foundation with product leadership, ensuring technology initiatives align with business goals. The Senior Technical Product Manager oversees technical specifications, manages project prioritization across internal and third-party teams, and ensures code quality through structured review and QA processes. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Product.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Vision and Strategy
Define and own the technical roadmap for customer-facing and internal platforms, ensuring alignment with product strategy and business objectives.
Translate high-level product requirements into detailed technical documentation and specifications.
Ensure prioritization decisions deliver measurable business value using analytics, KPIs, and customer feedback.

Development Oversight and Prioritization
Establish and maintain development best practices across the full SDLC, including intake, estimation, sprint execution, code review, QA, and release.
Lead and mentor senior developers while maintaining predictable delivery timelines and high-quality output.
Manage and prioritize technical initiatives across internal teams and outsourced development partners.
Review project scopes and backlog items to ensure clear requirements and realistic timelines.

Code Quality and Pull Request Management
Review and approve code changes to ensure maintainability, performance, and architectural consistency.
Conduct quality assurance reviews of third-party deliverables to ensure compliance with internal standards and best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with product, engineering, IT, and operations teams to define requirements and coordinate platform rollouts.
Work directly with business stakeholders to identify needs and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
Engage with end users to understand real-world challenges and market demands.
Serve as the technical point of contact bridging business strategy and development execution.

Vendor and Offshore Team Management
Oversee third-party development teams to ensure accountability, quality, and timely delivery.
Provide mentorship and guidance to ensure external teams follow internal architecture and development standards.

System Integrity and Scalability
Maintain architectural consistency across all platforms through documentation and process adherence.
Identify opportunities for modernization, refactoring, and performance optimization.

Quality Assurance and Testing
Own QA processes to ensure issues are identified and resolved prior to production releases.
Partner with stakeholders to define test plans and regression strategies.

Industry and Technology Awareness
Stay current on emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices to ensure platforms remain modern and competitive.
