Pay Rate : $70.00-$96.15/hr ($145K-$200K/yr, DOE)
Overview
Our client, a global leader in advanced autonomous and robotic solutions and creator of the industry's most advanced unmanned command and control solution for vehicle operations, is seeking a Robotic Systems Architect to lead the design, development, and integration of advanced robotic systems. This role is responsible for defining system architecture, ensuring performance and scalability, and guiding cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in robotics, systems engineering, and software/hardware integration, along with strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
- Lead the architecture, design, and integration of complex robotic systems
- Define system requirements, interfaces, and performance specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, controls, and mechanical engineering
- Drive system-level decisions across sensing, perception, control, and actuation
- Oversee system validation, testing, and performance optimization
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of robotic platforms
- Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the development lifecycle
- Support prototyping, system bring-up, and deployment activities
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business and product goals
Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 10 years of experience in robotics, systems engineering, or related domains
- Strong experience in robotic system architecture and integration
- Expertise in areas such as controls systems, perception, sensors, or autonomy
- Experience with real-time systems and embedded platforms
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with autonomous systems or mobile robotics
- Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System) or similar frameworks
- Experience with simulation tools and digital twins
- Knowledge of AI/ML applications in robotics
- Background in high-reliability or safety-critical systems
- Robust, scalable robotic system architectures delivered on time
