$45 to $55 per hour DOE

Summary
Mid-level API / Middleware Engineer responsible for building and supporting integrations across enterprise systems. This role develops secure, reliable APIs and integration services, supports production environments, and collaborates across teams to enable data flow between core business applications. The role also contributes to automation and AI-enabled integration initiatives, including Copilot-based experiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain REST APIs , webhooks, and middleware integrations
• Support system-to-system integrations across enterprise platforms
• Implement authentication and authorization (OAuth, tokens, service accounts)
• Troubleshoot and resolve production integration issues
• Monitor integration health and participate in on-call support
• Perform data mapping, transformation, and validation
• Document APIs, integration flows, and runbooks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable secure integrations
• Support automation and AI-driven integration use cases
• Manage integration-related tickets through ITSM processes

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science , MIS, or related field
• 3 years of experience in API development, middleware, or system integration
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience supporting production systems ( monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response)
• Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts ( OAuth, tokens, service accounts)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail

• Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms
• Familiarity with Azure or cloud integration patterns
• Scripting experience ( Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.)
• Understanding of enterprise data models and system boundaries
• Exposure to automation or AI-enabled workflows (e.g., Copilot integrations)
