Global law firm is seeking a Senior Paralegal - Restructuring & Special Situations (RSS). This person will be responsible for managing and leading all supportive aspects of cases or transactions for the RSS team, while working on various insolvency and restructuring transactions involving corporations, banks, creditors' committees, hedge funds, sponsors, and other financial institutions.Responsibilities:Handling precedent research, research regarding jurisdictions, judges, and/or industry, drafting pleadings, preparing checklist and/or case calendars, drafting of proofs of claim and preparing exhibits to same, cite checking, Bluebooking, preparing fee applications, management of case files, preparing exhibits and trial notebooks, request, review, and summary of UCC and lien search results/reports and legal descriptions, and preparing and filing of UCC financing statements (personal property and fixture filings) and amendmentsLiaising with other counsel, clients, and third parties in connection with restructuring mattersPromoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workersCoordinating outside services, either directly or through support departments, and acting as a liaison with involved third partiesTraining paralegals and new attorneys in local office and department procedures and technical aspects of the paralegal area of expertiseProtecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that firm retainsQualifications:Demonstrate excellent organizational and project management skillsExhibit the ability to work independently and efficientlyDisplay the ability to prioritize and handle competing demands in a fast-paced working environmentA bachelor's degree (and signed declaration if located in a California office) or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved programA minimum of six (6) years of equivalent experience as a paralegalA minimum of three (3) years of RSS experience, preferablyIND-1
