Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Outside Machinist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing outside machining operations on heavy equipment and machinery, ensuring precision and quality in all work performed. Pay Rate: $35.00 Hr. $45.00/day Per diem, if eligible
Duties
- Operate and maintain various power tools and hand tools to perform machining tasks on large equipment components
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately execute machining operations
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other gauges to ensure specifications are met
- Conduct rigging and lifting operations safely using appropriate equipment for heavy components
- Perform assembly, fabrication, welding, soldering, and sheet metal work as needed for repairs or modifications
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including maintenance logs and inspection reports
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions
Qualifications
- Proven service technician experience with mechanical or machining backgrounds
- Strong knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints
- Experience with electrical systems and troubleshooting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with military standards or experience working in military environments is a plus
- Skilled in rigging, fabrication, welding, soldering, and the use of heavy lifting equipment
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments
- Ability to perform vehicle maintenance and assembly tasks efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a safety-conscious mindset
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in outdoor or industrial settings for extended periods
