Skilled Construction Carpenter

Construction Services Group in Neosho is accepting applications for a Commercial Carpenter.

Typical Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Frame walls and soffits using metal studs and wood
• Install blocking, backing, and structural framing
• Build, set, and strip concrete forms
• Install doors, frames, and door hardware
• Install acoustical ceilings, drywall, and finish carpentry as needed
• Capable of using levels, tape measures, saws, drills, and other carpentry tools
• Cleaning of tools and equipment
• Use of hand tools and power tools
• Properly follow OSHA safety procedures
• Responsible for other duties assigned for the job

Qualifications

• 1 years' experience in commercial carpentry or related field
• Ability to read blueprints and take accurate measurements
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
• Ability to give and understand hand signals
• Regular and punctual attendance
• OSHA-10 card (required)
• Own basic hand tools
• Applicants who are offered employment will be required to submit to a Drug/Alcohol test

• Bending, Kneeling, Stooping, Crouching, Twisting, Standing
• Reaching, Handling, Grasping
• Climbing ladders, Balancing on scaffold and walkways
• Working at heights
• Lifting 50 pounds
• Carry objects 50 to 100 pounds

Work Conditions

• Environment is outside conditions that involves all weather extremes
• Construction site with uneven terrain and mobile construction equipment

Pay & Job Type

Position will be full-time with benefits available. Starting wage is based on previous experience.
