What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installer, Garage Door position at Construction Resources?
- Install new residential garage doors according to manufacturer specifications and company standards
- Inspect, adjust, and align tracks, springs, and door sections to ensure smooth and safe operation
- Remove existing garage doors and hardware as needed for replacement installations
- Test doors for proper balance and functionality after installation
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
- Communicate effectively with customers and builders to ensure satisfaction with completed installations
- Complete all required documentation, work orders, and service records accurately and on time
- Manage tools, equipment, and materials efficiently to control costs and enhance productivity
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned
- Strong mechanical skills and ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Capable of lifting up to 80 pounds and performing physical labor in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Previous experience installing garage doors preferred (training provided for qualified candidates)
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required
- Ability to work flexible hours (average 40–50 hours per week)
- Commitment to following all company and job site safety procedures
