Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Floor Layer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of various flooring materials and installation techniques. As a Floor Layer, you will be responsible for ensuring precise and high-quality installation of flooring in both residential and commercial settings.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit designated areas
- Prepare surfaces for flooring installation, including cleaning, leveling, and smoothing
- Install a variety of flooring materials such as hardwood, laminate, vinyl, carpet, and tile
- Ensure all flooring is installed according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects
- Perform finishing tasks such as sealing, grouting, and trimming
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Floor Layer or in a similar role
- Proficiency in using flooring tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy materials
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
