Pre Deployment Training Instructor

Position Summary 

Constellis is seeking an Instructor to conduct pre-deployment training in accordance with ACADEMI and U.S. Government guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Deliver firearms and classroom training to both in-house and private ACADEMI customers 

• Assist with VIP visits 

• Assist other training programs as needed 

• Ensure customer satisfaction and business development 

• Must be willing to operate company vehicle 

• Other duties as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Five years of firearms instructor experience required 

• NEC 0812, NRA, DCJS or other US Military equivalent firearms certification highly desired 

• NEC 9502, DCJS General Instructor certification, or other US Military designator highly desired 

• Heavy weapons certification is a plus 

• Must have Honorable Discharge 

• Must possess a valid Driver's License and a clear driving record for the last three years 

• Local candidates preferred 

• Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization 

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion 

• Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process 

• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment 
• Must be able to lift and carry various items weighing up to 100 lbs. Requires standing for long periods of time in all weather conditions. Requires intermittent sitting, walking, running, climbing, squatting, stretching, bending, and kneeling. Requires constant use of hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.  

Work conditions

Can vary from a busy training environment to a classroom setting, both subject to frequent interruptions. Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold, and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Work hours will be dictated by the customers agreed upon schedule. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by established Company Safety Standards. Normal work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, however some evening and/or weekend hours are required, and work schedule will vary.
