Job Responsibilities
- Provides part-time mechanical engineering expertise for HVAC and mechanical system oversight for the construction project. Performs site visits, inspections, mechanical submittal and RFI reviews, QA/QC support, and coordination with the COR, AE, GC, and commissioning agent.
- The Mechanical Engineer (CM-M) will support the project through mechanical systems oversight, including HVAC, controls, and cooling systems.
- Duties include assisting the COR with mechanical submittal and RFI reviews, performing scheduled onsite inspections, contributing to pre-construction evaluations, monitoring construction for compliance with mechanical specifications, leading mechanical QA activities, and assisting in schedule, cost, and change management analysis.
- The CM-M will support commissioning activities, identify deficiencies, documents findings, and provides technical recommendations to ensure mechanical systems meet project requirements and healthcare facility standards.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, with specialization in HVAC, digital controls, and IT system cooling from an accredited institution.
- Minimum six (6) years of experience in both design and construction
- Experience in healthcare and IT projects/facilities is critical
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Strong communication and computer literacy skills
- Must be a United States Citizen.
