Security Analyst

Constellation Search Group is looking for a Systems Security Analyst for a full-time position. This role is responsible for enhancing and managing the organizational security framework, particularly within a cloud-only environment that supports approximately 150 users and 200 endpoints. The Systems Security Analyst will be pivotal in overseeing critical security operations, such as endpoint and identity management, security monitoring, and incident response. This position is ideal for a professional who excels in a dynamic and evolving organization, focusing on building robust, scalable systems rather than traditional helpdesk functions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily security operations and monitoring using Microsoft Defender XDR and Sentinel.
• Investigate, triage, and prioritize security alerts and anomalies based on risk assessment.
• Maintain accurate and detailed investigation documentation.
• Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, documenting timelines, analysis, and remediation.
• Manage device onboarding/offboarding and enforce endpoint security baselines using Intune and other tools.
• Own identity lifecycle management within Microsoft Entra and enforce access controls.
• Enhance security operations through scripting, automation, and AI-driven workflows.
• Ensure documentation compliance with SOC 2 and HIPAA regulations and align practices with risk management expectations.
• Assist with security-aligned technical support and serve as an escalation point for technical issues.

Qualifications:

• 3-6 years of experience in security operations, systems administration, or endpoint security.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Intune, Defender XDR, Sentinel, and Entra.
• Experience in regulated environments like SOC 2 and HIPAA.
• Thorough understanding of identity governance and least privilege principles.
• Expertise in PowerShell and automation within Microsoft Sentinel.
