Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced On-Site Property Manager to oversee daily operations of a residential property and leasing duties of surrounding properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative, customer service, and property management skills, with a focus on maintaining property standards, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and complying with relevant regulations such as Fair Housing. This role requires a proactive approach to facilities management, leasing, and conflict resolution to foster positive tenant relationships and optimize property performance. The ideal candidate will be available to attend to duties at the property as needed throughout the business day.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and tenant relations
- Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely completion and quality standards
- Oversee property leasing activities, including marketing vacant units and conducting property tours
- Administer lease agreements, renewals, and legal documentation in compliance with landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations
- Utilize property management software such as Appfolio for data entry, reporting, and record keeping
- Conduct daily inspections and clean up to ensure property cleanliness, safety, and adherence to regulations
- Handle conflict management between tenants or vendors with professionalism and tact
- Maintain accurate filing systems for contracts, legal documents, and maintenance records
- Manage facilities using Appfolio Work Order System for scheduling repairs and tracking work orders
- Foster positive customer relationships through excellent phone etiquette and personalized service
Requirements
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles
- Knowledge of Section 8 housing programs, Landlord-Tenant Law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal administrative procedures
- Proficiency with Appfolio software, and other office management tools
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict resolution effectively
- Office experience including data entry, filing systems, and administrative support functions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with team members as needed
