What you'll be doing:
- Guest Engagement: Provide a warm, welcoming experience by greeting guests, explaining menu offerings, and responding to special requests.
- Table Service: Take and deliver orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and attentiveness to guest preferences.
- Food & Beverage Assistance: Serve plated meals, appetizers, and beverages while maintaining proper portion control and presentation.
- Setup & Breakdown: Prepare event spaces, including setting tables, arranging décor, and ensuring proper seating layouts. Assist in post-event breakdown and cleanup.
- Compliance & Safety: Follow all food handling, health, and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout service.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service execution.
- Problem-Solving: Address guest concerns in a professional manner and proactively anticipate their needs.
Must-haves:
- Service-Oriented Attitude: Passion for providing outstanding guest experiences with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively interact with guests, team members, and event managers.
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to high service standards and maintaining a polished presentation.
- Adaptability: Ability to perform well in fast-paced, dynamic event environments.
- Experience: At least one year of food service experience in catering, banquets, fine dining, or a high-volume restaurant setting.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with formal dining etiquette and event service techniques.
- Certifications: Food handler’s certification or alcohol service permit (if applicable).
