Responsibilities
- Operate and oversee water treatment plants and distribution systems, ensuring optimal performance of equipment such as pumps, valves, and water treatment units.
- Monitor process variables using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to maintain water quality standards.
- Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on industrial pumps, and other critical machinery to prevent downtime.
- Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for efficiency and compliance.
- Manage heavy equipment operation including construction machinery for maintenance or emergency responses.
- Document all operational activities accurately in logs, reports, and compliance records to support environmental regulations and internal audits.
- Collaborate with team members on environmental compliance initiatives, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have at least a class # drivers license,
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have a favorable driving record
- Have a DNR "Class C" Water Operators Certification or be able to obtain one with in the first year of employment
Experience
- Proven experience working in water treatment and distribution with a strong understanding of water systems operations.
- Mechanical knowledge related to pump operation, industrial pump maintenance and repair, plumbing, and general equipment repair.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, operate construction equipment, and conduct heavy equipment maintenance tasks.
- Strong analysis skills complemented by basic math proficiency for data collection and troubleshooting processes.
- Familiarity with construction experience or working in environments requiring heavy equipment operation is a plus.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
