What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welders position at Consolidated Equipment Group?
CEG, parent company to Erskine Attachments, is looking for production level welders!
Job Summary:
Perform a variety of duties as assigned including, but not be limited to working as part of a team in materials, assembling, paint or welding areas. Production employees are assigned to tasks based on production needs and are expected to perform to high quality standards.
Wage: Up to $21.25 an hour plus quarterly bonus incentives!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned):
- Understands and complies with safety training
- Maintains a neat and clean work area
- Ability to cross train and perform multiple areas
- Safely positions and secures work-piece using hoist
- Safely operates forklift
- Examines work-piece for defects and ensures conformance with specifications
- Using various hand tools to assemble component parts into finished products according to production manual specifications.
- Practices and supports continuous improvement within the company.
- Interacts well with other team members and also able to work independently.
Education and/or Experience:
- A background in metal fabrication and manufacturing
- Ability to read and assemble parts according to production work instructions
- Proficient in the use of a variety of hand tools and hand-held power tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Smart and exceptional organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities
