Job Description
We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping & Packaging Assistant to join our manufacturing team!
This position will work directly with and assist our Shipping Manager in daily shipping operations, including accurately counting parts, inspecting products for quality, packaging orders, and preparing shipments.
The ideal candidate must be organized, reliable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Accuracy and attention to detail are extremely important in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Shipping Manager with daily shipping and packaging operations.
- Accurately count parts and verify quantities before packaging.
- Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Package products carefully and efficiently for shipment.
- Double-check orders to ensure correct parts and quantities are shipped.
- Assist with organizing, labeling, and preparing outgoing shipments.
- Communicate any discrepancies, damaged parts, or quality concerns to the Shipping Manager.
- Help maintain an organized and efficient shipping department.
- Follow instructions and prioritize tasks as directed by the Shipping Manager.
- Meet daily shipping and production expectations.
- Assist with additional warehouse and manufacturing tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be able to count accurately and consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable attendance.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks efficiently.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to stay focused while performing repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to learn and assist wherever needed.
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
