What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President of Infrastructure position at Conrad Consulting?
We have an immediate need for a Vice President / Infrastructure Engineering Lead to drive and expand a Transportation Engineering practice across the greater NY metropolitan area.
This is a true leadership role. You will be responsible for growing market presence, leading multidisciplinary infrastructure teams, mentoring senior staff, and strengthening relationships with key public-sector transportation agencies.

What You’ll Be Leading
- Strategic growth and coordination of a Transportation Engineering practice spanning:
- Bridge
- Highway
- Rail
- Traffic engineering
- Oversight of civil and structural engineering analysis, planning, and design for major capital improvement programs
- Supervision of:
- Condition assessments
- Load ratings
- Repair and rehabilitation design
- Reconstruction of horizontal structures including bridges, culverts, transit stations, piers, and waterfront facilities
- Execution oversight on projects ranging from targeted rehabilitations to large-scale new construction
- Mentorship and development of engineering and CAD/BIM staff
- Preparation and leadership of technical and cost proposals for major pursuits
- Staffing strategy, financial performance oversight, and performance management
- Monthly and quarterly financial forecasting
- Development and refinement of internal design and drafting standards
- Relationship building with NY transportation agencies, authorities, and city/state clients
- Active participation in industry and business development events
What They’re Looking For
- B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s a plus)
- 15 years of civil/structural infrastructure experience
- New York PE required
- Proven leadership and mentorship experience
- Strong background in bridge and transportation infrastructure
- Experience with structural analysis software
- Strong understanding of applicable transportation codes and standards
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver consistently
